Director Statement: The current situation along with the distance it brought between us, elevates the question of coexistence into another height: can we feel now what it means to be far away from your beloved ones? - Due to her paper status, my mother couldn't travel to her homeland to mourn over her father's grave. She finally did three years after his passing away. During this period of isolation, e-communication and bad phone signals, my thoughts went to all those who lived with short-circuited communication long before the advent of any virus. From the high speed of the Evros border crisis to the total still of the pandemic, these digital handwritten love postcards are dedicated to those who need to communicate; for everyone stuck at the borders, his own or of others.
