About the Media Library

Together. Peaceful. Strong.

WE ARE UNIFIED

The Media Library is more than just a collection of videos, it’s a thoroughly curated compilation, thematically grounded in the topic of the festival. For 2020/2021 it was the Covid-19 pandemic, future topics will include equally socially important themes.

The library offers free access to high-quality short and long format films, documentaries, online content, interviews and net finds, to entertain, educate and engage people on a multinational and multicultural level. The library will include new topics with each new festival in order to grow constantly, making it an invaluable asset for every filmmaker and film interested person.

Yet it was not only the Covid-19 pandemic that made us aware of the global problems facing humanity. Ranging from the pandemic to climate change to the unjust distribution of resources and the growing gap between rich and poor – the challenges facing the world today seem bigger than ever before.

At the same time, the Covid-19 pandemic has clearly shown us the extent to which global issues are being digitally negotiated and audiovisually mediated. The more important it will be for us to offer digital platforms that create shared values and drive forward collaborative solutions. The medium of film offers suitable possibilities in its universal comprehensibility. We are creating a digital spaces that audiovisually illustrates the global interconnections of our world. Economic and ecological cycles not only reinforce the interdependence of people, but also global imbalances. These dangers triggered by global interconnections must be exposed and made clear. Only in this way will we succeed in finding a solidaric balance for the respective efforts and deficits.

In order to keep the quality, quantity and diversity of our media library as high level as possible, we are highly interested in forming new partnerships with universities / film-festivals and with filmmakers from all over the world.

We value any suggestions and contribution, so please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
