Director Biography: I'm Oscar Axel Thorborg, a Swedish/Australian filmmaker working at a production company called Guerilla Creative in Melbourne. I was midway through production of a short film when lockdown happened so I decided to make the most out of these new restrictions. I filmed everything with the equipment I had in my apartment and used my partner as cast and crew. I was motivated to make Self Isolation as a reaction to the love and support I saw around our apartment building during the first lockdown.

Director Statement: Self Isolation is about the helplessness we feel within quarantine... but also the boredom. It focuses on the notion that people want to help but don't know how. We need to listen to the advice of experts and come up with new ways of supporting each other that doesn't end up causing more harm than good.

Cast: Grace Davison
