Director Biography: "300 Meters" is my first short documentary. Usually I am working as a freelancing videoproducer mainly for TV, until a final exam at my University led me to produce this documentary. Also in 2021 I have started a film collective with a few friends of mine, called “Ministry for Motion Pictures” where we are producing music videos and short films to our very own likings.

Director Statement:

When I went to the surface mine for the first time, I truly couldn’t believe what was extending in front of my eyes. This giant hole, nothing but dark soil and these huge excavators. When I started researching, I quickly noticed that not only the environment has to pay the costs for it, but also the many villagers, who are living all around the mining pit, or once lived there, where now there is existing nothing but the hole.
