Shanghai sets up walk-in centers for FREE COVID boosters amid Omicron fear
With more than 1,000 companies and close to 40,000 office workers near Jing'an Park in central Shanghai, an inoculation tent in the green space attracted crowds of desk workers at noon. The vaccination site opened five days ago and has already administered more than 1,000 booster shots. And at North Xizang Road's Joy City mall, about 100 construction workers came in a group. The site inoculates about 300 people a day. It's open from 9:30am to 4:30pm until January 25th, including during the New Year holiday. 98.6 percent of adults in Shanghai had been vaccinated as of 8pm last night. As the holiday season approaches, medical experts remind people to keep their masks on, wash their hands, keep indoor spaces ventilated and avoid large gatherings.
