How Brazil Got Over 75% Adults Fully Vaccinated

Could there be reasons to be optimistic in Brazil? Over 75 percent of adults are fully vaccinated in Brazil, even if kids aren't yet getting the jab. In some big cities the vaccination rate is almost 95 percent. Many Brazilians are hopeful that things could soon return to normal. It's been among the worst-affected countries in the world, with more than 600,000 people dying from COVID-19 there. But there are signs the pandemic could be loosening its grip. Many families are planning big Christmas parties. Even the New Year's Eve party on Copacabana Beach will take place, albeit in a smaller format. But are they celebrating too soon? After a slow start, vaccination rates have increased and there are fewer new infections in Brazil. Vaccine-maker Pfizer has launched a study to find out what happens when an entire city gets the jab.
